ya. if your looking for the slacked out dh feel, the 8.75 will be perfect, you could also try a 9 if you want it in the middle, and just run a bit more sag so it evens out.

ya, might want to email commencial, or give them a call to see if it can damage the frame by runnign to large of an eye to eye, if not ride it till you can get a new shock, but if it can damage it, get rid of it ASAP

i would 100% say you need a new shock. look at the rockshock vivid 5 deff one of the best shocks out on the market today. or the dhx 5.0
